Food poisoning, also called Food borne illness and caused by eating or drinking food or water contaminated with viruses, bacteria, toxins, parasites, or chemicals. Most cases are caused by common bacteria such as Staphylococcus or E. coli.

Foods most commonly associated with food poisoning include:

~~ Meats

How to Identify Food Poisoning ?

 The symptoms of food poisoning usually begin within one to two days of eating contaminated food, although they may start at any point between a few hours and several weeks later. 

Possible symptoms include:

~~ Abdominal cramps
~~ Diarrhea (may be bloody)
~~ Fever and chills
~~ Headache
~~ Nausea and vomiting
~~ Weakness (may be serious)

Symptoms of potentially life-threatening food poisoning include:

~~ Diarrhea persisting for more than three days
~~ A fever higher than 101.5°F
~~ Difficulty seeing or speaking
~~ Symptoms of severe dehydration, which may include dry mouth, passing little to no urine.
